Grounded Walk and Talk
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately…”
— Henry David Thoreau, Walden
Sometimes words flow more freely when we move. Walk and talk therapy combines gentle physical activity with conversation, allowing clients to reflect, process, and explore in a natural, supportive environment. Whether strolling through a quiet park, along a leafy path, or even sitting together over coffee, this approach creates space for presence, insight, and connection. Being outdoors or in a comfortable, calming setting can help reduce stress, open up new perspectives, and make the therapeutic process feel less formal and more collaborative.
Please note, because sessions occur outside a traditional therapy room, complete privacy cannot be guaranteed, so this approach may be better suited for reflection, problem-solving, or lighter emotional processing rather than very deep or highly sensitive work
